Hunter Introduces Outdoor Use Ceiling Fans

Hunter Fan Company, world’s leading manufacturer of ceiling fans since 1886, introduces 240V ceiling fans approved for outdoor use. Outdoor ceiling fans are perfect for patios, lanais, balconies, gazebos. Not quite outdoor, but nearly so, the fans are also great for conservatories and sun rooms.

“The outdoor fans are designed so that they are safe to operate in very high temperatures.” says Ted Bacon, Senior Project Engineer for Hunter Fan Company. Hunter’s newest outdoor fan called Outdoor Elements features aluminum housing and stainless steel hardware. “They also pass a salt spray test, to ensure they will not rust in beach front areas. They are tested by independent laboratories to IEC standards for outdoor use.” says Mr. Bacon.

The fans create a cooling breeze, allowing more enjoyable time in the outdoors. The air movement also keeps away mosquitoes, as well as cigarette smoke. The Outdoor Elements is available with or without a light.
